Product Photo Checklist for Your Next Video Ad
Good preparation starts with accurate product information and images you are allowed to use. These checks make a brief easier to review before you spend a Video Credit.

Choose a clear, current product photo
Use a well-lit image where the product is easy to recognize. Check that the label, color, and packaging match the version you currently sell. Do not use stock photography as a substitute for the actual product.
The studio uses your uploaded product photo in the closing shot. A centered image with room around the object is easier to review than a tightly cropped image that cuts off part of the packaging.
Confirm permission and remove unrelated information
Only upload images you own or have permission to use. Check the background for shipping labels, customer information, addresses, or other details that do not belong in an advertisement.
If an image includes a person, a third-party logo, or a testimonial, make sure you have the permissions needed for the intended advertising use. Permission to view an image is not automatically permission to advertise with it.
Prepare a short fact sheet
Write the product name, one main benefit, the intended customer, and a clear call to action. Add the price only if you plan to verify it again before publishing. Keep unsupported claims out of the brief.
For a canvas bag, verified materials and dimensions are facts. “The best bag in the world” is not a useful substitute for facts, and invented customer praise should never be added to make an ad look established.
Inspect the final result, not only the inputs
AI scene footage can misrepresent the product even when the starting brief is accurate. Check the finished video for changed packaging, strange text, inaccurate usage, and unsupported implications.
Keep a copy of the approved product facts and creative direction. If something changes before publication, update the ad rather than relying on an old draft.
