Plan a Three-Scene Product Video Ad

A simple storyboard can stop a short ad from becoming a collection of unrelated clips. Give each scene a purpose: establish the situation, develop the product idea, and show the next step.

Product Ad Studio editorial · Updated October 19, 2026

Scene one: make the situation recognizable

Open on a moment your intended customer understands. For a travel mug, that might be getting ready to leave home. You do not need a dramatic problem or an exaggerated before-and-after transformation.

Write one short on-screen line and describe the environment, action, and framing. Be precise enough to guide the creative, while expecting AI footage to vary.

Scene two: connect the product to the moment

Keep the middle focused on the benefit or use context established by the opening. Show a believable action rather than adding a list of unrelated features.

Product details matter. AI footage may change labels, shapes, and packaging. Do not treat an AI-generated close-up as proof of how the physical product actually looks or performs.

Scene three: show the real product and next step

Finish with an actual uploaded product image, the correct name, and one call to action. “Explore the collection” and “Shop the mug” ask for different next steps; choose the one that matches your destination.

Check the offer again immediately before publishing. A correct storyboard can become an inaccurate ad if the product price or availability changes.

Keep production expectations clear

The current Product Ad Studio generation flow combines short vertical scenes with on-screen text and a product-photo closing shot. Your storyboard can include voiceover planning, but the current downloaded video does not automatically include voiceover or music.

Review the finished file on the device where it will be viewed. Check text readability, product accuracy, scene order, and export format. Do not launch a campaign merely because the file downloaded successfully.

Before you move on

  • One purpose for each scene
  • One consistent message
  • A real product photo for the closing shot
  • A CTA that matches the destination
  • A final review on a phone
